The price of an asset (usually current price) divided by the net income it generates in a given period of time. Usually refers to rental property, for which the time period over which this multiple is considered is generally a month. It is a useful measure for judging how effective an asset is at generating income, compared to its market price.

Impairment Charge

GOLD

Sought after since the beginning of recorded history, gold remains a highly valued metal, reaching record highs recently, climbing over 135% in value in the past year alone. The recent rise in the price of gold comes just as annual worldwide mine production has decreased - down by nearly 8% since 2001. In human history, only 161,000 tons of gold have been mined - more than half of that extracted in just the past 50 years. Collected here are a handful of recent photographs of people searching for, mining, rediscovering, celebrating, buying and selling gold.

THE LONG HARD WAY

I am not a star
There is no Halo over my head
Fate doesn’t like the colour of my eyes
Struggle and strife are old friends of mine
Who am I?
I am a survival, I am guts, I am pride,
I like odds
Especially when they’re stacked against me
B’coz there will come a time when
I will stare them in the eye
And smile, the smile of the one who pulled it off
I am the person who will have deep lines on my face someday,
And it’ll make me look good when I laugh,
B’coz that is the day t will fear no fear
And taste the sweat that is sweet
And look back for the very first time and say
I did it my way
The LONG HARD WAY.

MY SOURCE OF INSPIRATION.

I see her often running here and there
She could be seen running before every glitter
And she listens and believes to everyone except me….
Never does she care for any feelings….
Nor does she wait for the truth;
Waiting to engulf the innocent….
Trying to allure to pure,
Always she succeeds,
She changes her mask every instant,
Such that nobody ever saw her real face!
Rarely she makes you laugh
She always goes away from the point of destination,
And has a habit of snatching mine
Betrayal flows in her blood streams….
And she’s proud of it!
And for these qualities we call it ‘LIFE’
Today there may be a treatment of death,
But never will be any remedy of life.

I came across this piece while surfing good one....

Craptastic!

When software engineers in California are not dreaming about going skinny dipping with Angelina Jolie, they are dreaming about making millions of dollars by starting a software company. I do too. I mean the latter part. I have an idea for this wonderful software. I don’t know how to make the software yet, but a like a true day dreamer, I prepared the packing and the feature list for the software. Let me share my idea with you.

(Click on the image to enlarge. Read product description after the image)

What is Craptastic?Craptastic is an amazing new software that reads a Bollywood (or other Indian movie) DVD and makes it into a movie that is actually watchable. All you have to do is pop the DVD into your computer, run the software, burn a DVD and watch it! You will never have to hurt your fingers again by holding the “2x” button for one and half hours.
Feature list:
  • Using modern and complex algorithms, this software makes Aishwarya Roy look like she is almost acting
  • Searches each frame and digitally puts a shirt on Salman Khan’s disgusting bare body
  • Since most songs are rip off of English songs, those songs will be replaced by original English songs
  • Using digital pattern recognition mechanism, this software makes dying characters die as soon as they say, “I am dying” sparing the viewer the 10 minute monologue
  • By a patented new technology called ChildAgeCorrect, this software adds realism to movies by making children look at least as old as the dialogs they are spewing out. Warning: Most kids in movies will look 18
  • Coat color correction: Rich people in the movie will wear normal gray, blue or black suits instead of orange, green or lavender.
  • We all know how distracting those protean sweat patches under the armpits of heroes and heroines that are changing in every frame. This softwake make them look exactly the same in every frame
  • (Only for Tamil movies) Applies strategic pixallation in fight scenes where the hero is wearing a lungi.
    And many more features!
Bonus software included:
MovieExperience is a great fun software that comes free with Craptastic. Applying MovieExperience will enhance the sound track so that your movie watching experience is closer to watching in a theater. Some features include:
  • Adds the voice of the annoying guy talking in the back row
Adds crying babies (up to __ nos)
  • Adds the voice of that 12 year old girl who already saw the movie and providing a preview of the upcoming scene
  • Adds whistles and hoots when the heroine’s pallu drops
  • After the movie ends, it adds instant reviews in real voices like, “What a load of crap,” “I want my money back” etc.

A Random Thought
For whenever I sit down to write,
Its always the same agony, a disgusting plight,
Not that I have a mind block,
In my mind, ideas do flock.
But whatever I think,
My mind does sink,
To know someone’s thought the same before,
The idea has trespassed someone’s mind long ago…

I tried real hard,
And let the ideas flow…
Wrote in the Future, Present and Past,
The stuff I wrote sounded so aghast!
I defy, I try,
Should I give up? But then, WHY?
B’coz the best ideas are always taken
And the remaining stories sound so forsaken!!

Wish I had been born years back,
So the credit to those ideas I could have
For today, I know that whatever I write,
For its copyrights, I’ll have to fight.
Didn’t quite want to spare this idea for generations to come,
But then- how did I know?
If someone’s thought the same before,
If the ideas trespassed someone’s mind long ago…
